Today travel to Tea Country, watching the beautiful scenery change as you traverse through verdant hills. On the way you can stop at various villages for excellent photo opportunities. Check in at your hotel in Nuwara Eliya & stay overnight.

Rise early this morning for excursion to Horton Plains National Park where you will trek to the cliff which is known as World’s End. The 3 hrs trek to the edge of the plateau that offers the best view in Sri Lanka on clear day. It is advisable to reach before 9 AM, because after that whole area is covered by huge clouds & mist.

In the afternoon visit a working tea estate & learn the process of tea making. Overnight in Nuwara Eliya.

Today after breakfast drive towards Gal Oya National Park which is truly a gem of this tiny island & least visited of Sri Lanka’s national parks. It is the best place to see the animals in their natural habitat comparing to other national parks of Sri Lanka without any crowds. It has the island’s largest water reservoir where you can enjoy boat safari which can’t be experiences anywhere in Sri Lanka. If you are lucky you will be able to see the elephants swimming between islands or bathing at the lake’s edge.

On arrival, check in at your lodge. After freshen join the village chief from Vedda community, Sri Lanka’s indigenous habitants. Walk with him through the jungles of his ancestors. Discover their culture & learn about the ancient medicinal techniques, ancient hunting grounds & cave dwellings. This cultural insights will give you a different experience of lifetime. Today embark on Jeep Safari to hidden Nilgala section to see medicinal plants protected by ancient royals, elephants, wild boar, four species of deer, sloths, marsh mugger crocodiles & rare species of birds. You will have an option of safari by walk with expert naturalist guide who will take you to the unexplored areas of the park to see the animals in their natural habitat.

Embark on the unique boat safari on reservoir. This is the only experience in Sri Lanka that allows you to spot wildlife from water. Look out for the elephants swimming & other animals. Overnight in Gal Oya.

Leave Gal Oya after breakfast & drive towards South to Yala National Park, your chances to see Leopards in Sri Lanka as it has the highest density of leopard in Asia. On arrival, check in at your lodge & spend afternoon exploring the national park by jeep. You will be able to see rich flaura and fauna of Yala. Overnight in Yala.

Today enjoy morning & afternoon game drives by open jeep in Yala National Park & discover the variety of birds, elephants, wild boar, spotted deer. If you are really lucky you will be able to spot leopards & sloth bear. Overnight in Yala National Park.

Start your journey towards South West to Sri Lanka’s last remaining tropical rainforest ‘Sinharaja Forest Reserve’. Situated in the country’s wet zone & the last undisturbed area of rainforest in Sri Lanka. Sinharaja is treasure trove for wildlife enthusiasts as it is home of 150 species of birds & other mammals. On arrival, check in at your lodge & spend the remaining day at leisure. Overnight in Sinharaja.

This morning join a local tracker for nature walk in Sinharaja Forest Reserve. Explore the reserve on foot and get deeper insight on wildlife by your guide. Discover the biodiversity of this unique Reserve which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Leave to Bentota on the south coast, is a perfect destination to unwind & relax on the famous Bentota beach. Check in at your hotel & stay overnight.

After breakfast drive to Colombo (approx. 2 hrs drive). If you have later flight, we can arrange tour to Lunuganga Estate, is the home of Sri Lankan architect Geoffery Bawa. A guided walk to the estate to discver the excellent of Bawa.

Transfer to Colombo Airport to board flight for onward journey.
